Viking Helmet Belt Buckle Dark 1994 PAGAN Pewter

A large dark pewter winged viking helmet belt buckle. The belt buckle has a 4cm belt loop, which moves very easily, and solid pin fastening.

The back of the buckle is stamped with PAGAN, 1994, GSY (the artist who did a large number of their designs), 28 (the catalogue number), Made In England, 2 pewter marks and a C copyright mark. PAGAN was a company founded in the early 1990s by someone who had previously worked with Alchemy Gothic. They produced pewter necklaces, rings, belt buckles, pins, band merchandise and other miscellaneous items however they ceased trading by the mid 2000s. Some of their belt buckles are still sold under the Pagan name by another company who acquired their designs.

These buckles may have some imperfections, gaps and marks due to the production process, and also appear inconsistent with any catalogue images. Pewter is also a metal with an aged appearance and the colour may appear darker or lighter in places.

Although this buckle is new unworn dead stock, it has been cleaned and lightly polished as it was stored for a very long time.

The buckle is approximately 7cm long by 12.8cm across and 2.5cm at the highest point. The belt loop will fit belts around 4cm wide and the pin is 5mm thick. The buckle is made from English pewter
